Phoenix Fence proudly operates one of Canada’s largest in-house fence manufacturing, fabricating and distribution facilities from which we support our two synergistic divisions: Wholesale Distribution (supply-only of materials) and Fence Construction (professional installation services). Phoenix Fence Quality Control Program ensures that all raw materials and manufactured products conform, in strict accordance, to their respective Standards and Specifications.

Chain Link Gates and Modular Panels
Made in-houseIn both our Edmonton and Calgary operations, we offer full service production manufacturing of gates and portable panels for Chain Link Fence. We produce numerous stock and special order styles, specs and sizes in Single Swing, Double Swing, Sliding Cantilever and Rolo.
Industrial “Man Gates” (Single Swing) are available with customizable options such as “Panic Enter / Exit Hardware” and “Security Shrouds”. Pre-manufactured Portable Fence Panels (Modular Site Enclosures) are available in a variety of sizes and specification.

Chain Link Mesh
Made in-houseIn our Edmonton manufacturing center, we operate three modern Chain Link Weaving Machines for converting raw Galvanized and PVC Coated (Coloured) wire into Chain Link Fabric. Phoenix Calgary maintains a significant on-hand inventory of all standard specification Fabric to accommodate quick turnaround for all southern Alberta customers. We manufacture and inventory the following standard Fabric specifications in 50′ rolls:
- Galvanized or Vinyl Coated (Coloured Black, White, Brown & Green)
- Wire Gauge of 11 (Light), 9 (Standard) or 6 (Heavy)
- Fence Height: 3′ to 12′ in 50′ Length Rolls
- Diamond Size: 2 1/2″ (Extra Light), 2-1/4″ (Light), 2″ (Standard), 1-3/4″, 1-1/2″, 1″ (Specialty Heavy)
- Finish: Knuckle-Knuckle (Standard Residential) or Knuckle-Barb (Industrial)

Each full roll of mesh includes a weaving wire to attach to the next roll. Special order mesh is subject to minimum order and set up charges.
Barbed Wire
Made in-houseGalvanized 12 1/2 gauge double strand 4 point at 6-inch spacing barbed wire, available in Class III and Standard Canadian Galvanized Finish. Rolls are 80 rods (1,320′) long. We also provide barbless double strand wire. Full specifications are on the Agricultural & Farm Fence page.
Fence Staples
Made in-house“Western Staple” barbed and non-barbed fence staples for attaching barbed wire to wood posts. Manufactured from 9 gauge galvanized wire and available in 1-3/4″ and 2″ lengths. Packaged in convenient 10 lbs. and 30 lbs plastic pails. Private label staples available upon request. See Fence Staples on the Agricultural page.
Vinyl Fence
Made in-houseOur Edmonton manufacturing center operates a stand-alone Vinyl (PVC) fabrication shop with two CNC Routing Machines and extensive on hand inventory. Phoenix Calgary maintains inventory of all standard specification product along with access to quick ship inventory from Edmonton.

Dog Kennel Kits
Made in-houseWelded panel dog kennels and custom dog runs are manufactured in both plants in stock and special order sizes. Details, sizes and the kennel brochures are on the Dog Runs & Kennels page.
Facility and process
The Edmonton plant runs a full production process from raw material to finished fence: chain link weaving machines convert galvanized and PVC coated wire into fabric, CNC routers cut and machine vinyl profiles, and welding bays build gates, panels and kennels to stock and special order sizes, all under the Phoenix Fence Quality Control Program.
