Health and Safety

Over twenty years ago, Phoenix Fence pioneered the first, comprehensive, Health and Safety Program in the Alberta fence industry. Since inception, Phoenix management, supervision and personnel have been thoroughly committed to HS&E in our manufacturing facility and in the field – at customer sites. With a Certificate of Recognition, we are a long standing member of the Partnerships in Health and Safety Program through the Alberta Construction Safety Association (and formerly Manufacturers Health and Safety Association). We have progressively developed and enhanced our program to include extensive fence manufacturing and installation practices and procedures as well as an industry leading Drug and Alcohol policy for all personnel in safety sensitive positions. Our dedicated full time Safety Supervisor, along with senior management, work closely with all Field Installation, Office and Plant Manufacturing personnel to ensure extensive first aid, leadership, craft, equipment and HS&E training are integrated into all aspects of daily operations. Phoenix Fence has been twice recognized for its safety excellence receiving the “Work Safe Alberta Best Safety Performer Award” in 2003 and 2005. We are a member of four widely accepted industrial contractor safety prequalification and evaluation organizations, each of which recognizes Phoenix Fence as having an exceptional HS&E program.
